Silver Dollar Sue
For those seriously into costuming, this would be a great addition to your wardrobe. This beautiful elk hide over coat is handmade, purchased in early 2000’s (not sure of exact year) from a vendor at End of Trail. Rough hide on exterior, smooth hide interior. Elk horn buttons. Fringe on the sleeves and pockets. The cape has roughhewn edges with some imperfections giving it character, and there is a minor imperfection on the inside, upper right shoulder/back (see picture), not visible when worn (purchased in that condition). My husband, CAS shooter Huszar (deceased, SASS #1646) wore it only a handful of times. It’s gorgeous and heavy, probably weighs 20lbs(?) Size: Large Length: front collar to bottom hem = 46” Sleeve length: armpit to wrist = 21 ½” Button down front, also has clasps to help keep closed Rear saddle gusset (I think that’s the term for the slit in the back) Finished cuffs and tops of pockets I hate to let it go, but this really deserves to be worn and shown off instead of hanging in a closet. Paid $800 back then. Asking $550 OBO.

oak creek martin
I have personally tried on this coat and it is amazing. Craftsmanship is exquisite. I am 6 foot tall 210 pounds and wear extra-large Cowboy Shirts and it fit very comfortably. This is an absolute steal at $550. And she is the sweetest lady. Hope that she will come shoot with us again soon. Oak Creek Martin.
Dusty Morningwood
I am sure glad that the coat is too big for me. Saved me $550!
Slick McClade
Well, I made her an offer but at 5’ 10” and 185lbs I’m not sure it would fit very well.
Silver Dollar Sue
Slick Mcade, I sent you a reply just now. Apologies for it taking so long, was a pretty busy weekend after I put up the post. Oak Cree Martin, thank you for the kind words and invitation to come shoot. Great group of folks up there who made me feel welcome. It sure has been something in the back of my mind to get out there again. I always loved the sport and we had so much fun. Maybe sometime soon.
