Trailrider #896
According to the Denver Post, the sponsors/directors of Cheyenne Frontier Days have decided to cancel the event. The first time in over a century that this has happened! Although the Post didn't say so, I would imagine the train from Denver to Cheyenne won't be running either. Too bad, because I think they were planning to use Union Pacific Big Boy 4014. Stay well, Pards!
Fence Cutter
Most all PRCA rodeos have been cancelled since March and many more on into August at this time. It should not be a surprise that Cheyenne's on the list.
Assassin
Sponsors, vendors, night shows, etc. bailed. This stuff is planned out years in advance, when a few venues cancel it throws a wrench in the gears. CFD brings in $25-27 million to Cheyenne And Wyoming every year. The local economy will really take a hit this year. Cody Stampede is cancelled also.
Tascosa, SASS# 24838
If I remember correctly from my time in Wyoming, they only had two seasons. Winter and Cheyenne Frontier Days. And I believe that. We got 8 inches of show Aug. 18th. My 1st Sgt said "looks like we are going to have an early winter!!!
