Calamity Kris
I guess I'm an old timer. I really liked the days of old when people would dress to go to the store or out for the evening, and I don't mean grabbing a clean pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I mean dresses, hats, heels, jewelry, ties and coats. I miss that kind of glamour. Sigh. I guess I live in the wrong age.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
When women looked like women and men looked like gentlemen? I miss those days also, Kris. I recall my Dad telling me to shine my shoes. Said that no matter how shabby you dressed, if you had shined shoes you looked like a gentleman. We were shoe people. My Dad, his Brother, my Uncle, and my Grandfather, all made shoes at one time or another. I just wore them. My Grandfather made me a pair of boots, when I was around 7 or 8. The laced all the way to the top and had a small pocket knife and scabbard attached. I mean I was hot stuff. My Cousin got a pair also. We were tuff.
