Coyote Kincaid Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Looking for a Marlin 336CB 38-55. I would prefer a checkered stock but it's not a deal breaker. Maybe you have one collecting dust and need to see it go to a good home. Shoot me a pm or email me hemidakota1011@gmail.com
Coyote Kincaid Posted May 13, 2015 Author Posted May 13, 2015 Yeah I know. I was trying to get a Ballard rifled 30-30 to do my dirty work for me and I have a 45-70 Buffalo Classic as a fun gun. But I enjoy the 38-55 round so I thought I would find my 1871 38-55 a big brother and be done with it.
Three Foot Johnson Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 They're not hard to find, you just have to be a multi, multi hundredaire to buy one.

Shoot me a pm or email me hemidakota1011@gmail.com A guy at the range offered me $1,000 for one of mine last month, I just couldn't let it go. Dang they shoot well. I got one for my nephew to shoot when he comes over but he only wants to shoot Black guns and scoped rifles. Kids these days.
Coyote Kincaid Posted May 13, 2015 Author Posted May 13, 2015 Cash in hand plus it's my birthday tomorrow.
Al OVERA, SASS#26238 Life Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I remember back whe Cash in hand plus it's my birthday tomorrow. I remember, back when, I bought mine (reluctenty) for $375.00, and thought I was nutz for paying that much for an oddball cal rifle. Now I enjoy it so much I have added a Uberti HighWall and an 1871 W&H to the stable. All in the "Oddball" 38-55, and enjoy the heck outta them. Keep up the hunt, and don't lose faith. BTT Al

BTT Al sure did squeal when I had to pay 400 for my like new used one. almost the same tune for the $405 on the SS Ruger 44/40. My wife just rolled her eyes and now I wished I had listened better when another 44/40 came up. Please don't tell her she was right!
