Rye Miles #13621 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2015/04/07/concealed-carry-permits.html What will this do to reciprocity with other states?? That is the only question I have otherwise I do support this. I travel to other states for SASS events, family etc. I emailed Ron Hood about this, have not heard from him yet. Rye
Rye Miles #13621 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 I just got a response from Hood and the way the bill is written it allows you to still get a license for reciprocity with other states if you wish. Good news! Rye
Sparky Nelson Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I just got a response from Hood and the way the bill is written it allows you to still get a license for reciprocity with other states if you wish. Good news! I wonder if the bill says anything about non-resident carry. I used to live in Ohio (Ashville in fact, where Rep. Hood is from) and I got a Florida non-resident permit so I could carry there when I go to visit family. Still, it's nice to see the pendulum starting to swing the other way.
Cheyenne Culpepper 32827 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 one thing cool about the FL CCW, if you are a competitive shooter and a member of a shooting organization, that meets the training requirement for FL! OH and FL combined gives you 37 state coverage....

There's a new law that allows non-resident to carry in Ohio for 90 days as long as they have a carry permit from they're state.
Samuel "Doc" Eells Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I think it explains the 2nd! The 2nd amendment gives us license to carry unless otherwise banned from owning firearms!
Ya Big Tree Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Wow. What a swing. More lenient than Indiana? I got a Utah licence so I could carry in Ohio and West Virginia. Way to go Ohio !!
