Subdeacon Joe
What they call a Dahlgren looks more like a 100 Pound Parrott Rifle. The Mountain Howitzer ain't. Not quite sure what it is. And it would be bronze, not brass. And it sure wouldn't use the balls stacked next to it.
Alpo
I liked that one cannon with the "octagonal muzzle". I was thinking, "really? Looks like rifling, to me."
Houston CAS
Off topic, but I can't believe there's no "Gunsmoke" entry on IMFDB. There was an episode called "Aunt Thede" where she had this really unique rifle. Barrel looked like it was a pretty big caliber. I wish I could find more info on it. The hexagonal was the Whitworth. Had about a 1:48 twist, if I recall.
