Tom Bullweed
BP and most subs work better with bullets with BP lube. I use only bullets with regular smokeless lube. I use real Goex FFg for 12-gage and APP for rifle. I sue whatever I have the most of for my pistols. The short barrels do not build up the pressure and are easier to clean the gunked lube. Sgt. Hochbauer, SASS #64409
I have used Triple 7 and APP...................................yes they do make smoke. But there is nothing like flames belching from a 12ga especially if you get to let lose with both barrels. I shoot 38 spcl for my pistols and 44-40 for my rifle. I mostly use 2f. B Western Frontier Cartridge Duelist.........Interesting. Sgt H
John Henry Quick
I love this thread! I've been shooting FCGF, but I'm going out tomorrow to practice with my Remington New Army's. Soon, I'll be shooting GF the HARD WAY using the REAL gunpowder!
Shady McLarry #62056L
I've thought about that also, I got a couple of 58's when cabelas ran them on sale. Changed out the nipples and a couple of light hammer springs from VTI, polished some parts and man...! Are they fun to shoot.
