America without guns

EDITOR: How can we stay
silent and helpless in the face of all this gun violence — children
being slaughtered in their neighborhood fields, tiny first graders
slaughtered in their classroom, teachers gunned down at work, innocent
teens and babies hit by bullets in their neighborhoods, workers dying in
the workplace, families dying in the dark at the movies, travelers
running from a gunman at the airport? I am horrified by it all. Imagine
what this country would look like without assault rifles or handguns.
That is my heartfelt vision: America without guns.
