Bottom Dealin Mike, SASS #22273 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I was having a little fun with my Remington cartridge conversion. I got one in .44-40, though I'm sure that .38 Spl and .45 Colt are more popular chamberings. The only change I made to this gun was to have a gunsmith cut back the cylinder to remove the countersunk cartridge heads from the chambers, so the cartridge heads would be visible at the loading table.
Willy B.SASS#26902 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Thanks Mike Nice video, Good info I've been curious about these for awhile, Now if they would just make a run of these in .44 Russian I'd have to have a brace. Willy B'
Warden Callaway Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Mike, I found your YouTube channel about 6 months ago and have watched most all of them. I especially appreciate the reviews on old guns and the instructional videos. I also take note of how you include display items and costume. Keep up the good work. PS, Tomatoes would be fun to shoot but they are probably more expensive than cans of shaving cream.
Virgil Ray Hality, SASS# 37355 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Hey, good deal. Did you by chance slug the bore? And see how many rounds you can shoot before gritlock?
Grave Robber, SASS #57546 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Nice video as usual, thanks. Any chance you have some photos of the cylinder before you had it altered? Grave Robber
