Mean Matt McCord, SASS #24683
As most of you pards in N. Georgia know, my wife Catherine is pretty much confined to a wheelchair if we go anywhere, due to her arthritis. We have not taken a vacation in a very long time, and she really wants to "get the heck out of Dodge" sometime later this year, probably in the October time frame. Can y'all recommend vacation spots in the South that are wheelchair-friendly? I'm not necessarily talking about the usual assortment of theme parks. Just places people usually go to for vacations that have good wheelchair type facilities. Thank you in advance, and have a good weekend.
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
I don't know the area but FDR used to go to Warm Springs, if that's to your liking Wikipedia has an article about it.
Duffield, SASS #23454
If Miss Catherine can stand the drive, Branson is very handicap friendly. Good Luck, wherever you choose. Duffield
Utah Bob #35998
Most state and National parks have made significant efforts to make facilities wheelchair friendly.

G #1840
I would think about a cruise. A line like Holland America has a lot of experience and there are a lot of extremely helpful people around to assist you both on and off the ship.
