Rancho Roy Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I just picked up a nice 6' umbrella at Horrible Freight for $10. Brown, synthetic cotton duck looking material, wooden pole with "brass colored" accutraments. It has vents at the top to let the wind through. Can't be beat for $10 and looks "period correct".......................... http://www.harborfreight.com/6-ft-bistro-umbrella-67600.html

Three Fingered Fred 59408 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Got a Golf umbrella at the Salvation Army thrift store--$1.50. Don't forget to look there.
Cherokee Kliff Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Mine cost more, 40.00, but I got it at Lowes, before I saw this... http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c345/kliffsbuggy/SASS/
Gold Canyon Kid #43974 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Those harbor freight umbrellas have poles made from balsa or other soft woods. At least it would seem that was as easy as they break.
Mustang Gregg Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 :FlagAm: :FlagAm: We bought an armload at the Dollar Store a few years back at something like $6.99 each (?). They are hunter green and look sort of 1800's. We reckoned they would last only one season by looking at them. But we usually get 2 years out of them and them throw them in the campfire once a couple of the wooden struts break. We still have 3 or 4 left. Stay armed & alert! Mustang & Calamity
