Rancho Roy
I just picked up a nice 6' umbrella at Horrible Freight for $10. Brown, synthetic cotton duck looking material, wooden pole with "brass colored" accutraments. It has vents at the top to let the wind through. Can't be beat for $10 and looks "period correct".......................... http://www.harborfreight.com/6-ft-bistro-umbrella-67600.html

Gold Canyon Kid #43974
Those harbor freight umbrellas have poles made from balsa or other soft woods. At least it would seem that was as easy as they break.
Mustang Gregg
:FlagAm: :FlagAm: We bought an armload at the Dollar Store a few years back at something like $6.99 each (?). They are hunter green and look sort of 1800's. We reckoned they would last only one season by looking at them. But we usually get 2 years out of them and them throw them in the campfire once a couple of the wooden struts break. We still have 3 or 4 left. Stay armed & alert!
