Grizzly Dave Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 The best and worst part about SASS is the same thing. As a community, we often share each others triumphs, joys, sorrows, pain, and burdens. We offer support, prayer, and experience when we can. It's a great feeling to know that someone has your back, and that there is someone to ride the river with you. By the same token, we stand ready to help in a time of need. Today it hurts. "We're all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. Birth 'til death. We travel between the eternities. " RIP Coyote Calhoon Grizz
Charlie Harley, #14153 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 It is a sad fact of life that the only way to avoid grief is to avoid joy. I know some who've chosen this route and live a contented, if but shallow, life of grief avoidance. For me, I choose joy, and understand that grief will come. Ride in Peace, Coyote. Prayers up for your family and friends.
Flashpowder Hal Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Prayers up for hiz family, which includes all of the extended SASS family.
Bodine Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Nobody gets out of this game alive my grandad used to say. Double up +1 on that close-the-door-on-life thing. Been there and still working on it. Sometimes ya gotta let it hurt to feel better. Wish I'd have gotten that advice many years ago myself. Happy trails to those hurtin', and to him that has rode on ahead. Bodine
