Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Wuz the wings on another train...?
Grizzly Dave Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 I dunno, we didn't see them. There were 4 planes fuselages on that train I think, too me a minute to think to pull out the video camera, not the sort of thing you expect to see on a train while you're waiting in line for lunch at a cowboy match out in the boonies of Northern Colorado.
Amos Straight Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 737 fuselage headed from Wichita Ks. to Renton Wa for final assembly.
Uno Mas SASS #80082 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Those are 737 fuselages on their way to Seattle, from Spirit Aerospace in Wichita, Kansas. The wing is assembled in Renton, WA, a suburb (kinda) of Seattle. [Edit:] Amos is quick on the draw! And accurate!
Seldom Seen #16162 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Yep! Common sight in Wichita. It must be special train only for the airplane assembly as I have never seen any other cars attached.
