Connecticut Yankee
Hi Paards I just got a shipment of AA used shotgun hulls and they are grey, my question what is the difference between the grey shells and the red ones?? I have only shot the Red AA. Will they last as long or should i send them back?? I am new at reloading shotgun shells so that is why i am asking. Thanks for your help. Fairshake
I prefer the gray hull and as far as I know it is the same as the red in all dimensions. It is just a personal choice.
Bucky Buscadero, SASS #73085
No difference other than the color. I -think- from the factory the gray is used for heavier loads and the color is just a visual indicator. Bucky
WymoreWrangler SASS 46187L
The brass on the gray hulls is a few thousands longer than on the red AA hulls, they tend to stick in my TTN doubles, so I shoot the red...
Ruger Ray
The grey and the red are so close, you can load them the same. RR
