Bottom Dealin Mike, SASS #22273 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 For all you B-P loving pards I posted a video today on shooting he 1872 Open Top revolver. There's plenty of shooting in this one. I even tried a shooter's-eye view of a B-P round going down range.
Driftwood Johnson, SASS #38283 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Another really terrific video Mike. Very informative, I never knew about the advent of the 1873 rifle making the Open Tops obsolete. Pretty good shooting too. I did duck though when you swept me.
Bottom Dealin Mike, SASS #22273 Posted March 13, 2011 Author Posted March 13, 2011 No tripods were shot during the filming of this video... If I ever get someone to run the camera I'll have to be more carefull
Guest diablo slim shootist Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 makes me want a pair of open tops! have to keep shooting my 58 remes with conversion cyl. but one day..... great video Mike, we need more like this!
J.J. Helms Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Funny you mentioned the 58s, Diablo. I was just wishing BDM had a similar video shooting conversion (or cap 'n' ball) 58s. Great video! J.J.
Dusty Morningwood Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Really love the way those full cases of BP make your pistol buck - just like it's supposed to!
Diamond Curly SASS#57086 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I shoot two pairs of Open Tops, one in 38 and the other 45 Schofield and only use black powder as well. I either shoot the open tops or my 61 Navies in C&B. I like the looks and feel of the open tops. DC great video and I also have the action targets from Evil Roy.
