But, here: When the Austrians tried them as a battle rifle, tested at battalion level I think, they found that on campaign they were too hard to maintain. Tanks leaked, seals leaked, couldn't use them as clubs, and other problems. But for use by individuals they were good. One thing - large caliber air rifles do have a considerable crack when you shoot them. Not silent, or almost silent, as implied in the video. Search Large Caliber Air Rifle.
