  1. Hi, there was an old post you had about looking for parts for colt shotgun.

I am looking for the right side hammer for colt 1878 shotgun.

did you find out if TTN parts interchanged?
    did you find parts?

    Thanks ed

It was always debated that Colts imported these from England or made them there.  Or made them in USA with english parts. Most old shotguns of all brands and quality used barrels made in Belgium.  Just have to try.

I did see that colt imported the barrels from the Brit’s. But I thought I read the actions were made here. Old nuts were hardly ever standard back then. I just hope it comes off easy, it has lived on there many years.

      thank you

Hi, do you by chance know if the hammers on the colt 1878 are different between the 10ga and the 12ga, or did they use the same hammer for both?

  2. That Colt series 80 is perfectly fine (legal) for Wild Bunch.  It works in Traditional-based categories (one handed) really well.  And although it is not loaded with any modern features, it can certainly be used in Modern-based categories. too.

    good luck, GJ

  3. Hi mudflat,

nice looking ruger army’s. I think you might want to recheck the conversion cylinders though.

krist uses a single firing pin. Those look like Taylor conversions or Howell conversions.

I'll do that, I guess you can tell I'm not a black powder guy!
