  1. There is, of course, always the possibility that they will get tossed into the trash by a good Samaritan.
  2. I thought about addressing that in my reply, but I'm lazy and didn't want to get into a long drawn out post about ignorance vs. idiocy. This would be a much better discussion across a breakfast table and a good cup of coffee. If a person is merely illiterate and not also deaf and dumb they would think in the language they speak. An infant is probably merely ignorant and will learn to think, speak and read with time. I would guess that a person that can neither hear, speak or read any language would think in the form of pictures. In what language did the cavemen think? What say you? Are we getting close? (stupid meme started a way too serious discussion) Angus
  3. I guess you better ask Helen Keller. No, wait, she "spoke" English. I guess if a person is literally too stupid to read they'd probably think in pictures. That's if they're not total mental vegetables.
  4. That's easy. What language do they read? You're welcome. Angus
  5. 100% of the men don't care about the oreo.
  6. Hey look! Alpo, I found it! Angus
  7. OK, Call me "Master Corporal". Thanks Now, what is "PLQ"?
  8. Two questions: What is "PLQ"? What is the new rank? "Special Corporal"? "Leaf Corporal"? "Special Chevron Corporal"? Angus
  9. Forgive my ignorance, but if they are wearing gold service stripes it means they have never been the subject of disciplinary action. So, the guys wearing red service stripes HAVE been the subject of disciplinary action at some point in their career? A guy goes 20 years without discipline and wears gold service stripes. Year 21 he screws up and gets ganked so from then on all his service stripes are red? Just trying to understand. While I'm at it, at what level of discipline does the change take effect? A "bad boy" letter in his file or time spent in the brig? Angus
  10. My friend's daughter does that. At least she used to. She may have out grown it. It does get some interesting looks. Angus
  11. Yeah, I forgot about nurses. Probably most in the medical field as well. Want to talk sex stuff or gross stuff? Talk to a nurse. Wow! Just, Wow! I got into a conversation with a group of nurses some years back and when it meandered into the topics of sex and gross stuff they about crossed my eyes and I'm sure I must have blushed. I was also glad I had an empty stomach. Angus
  12. OK, maybe I'm going to Hell, but I laughed. (But I included a "Ooooooooo, too soon?") I've laughed at worse. Same as most other LEO's or (ex)military. Angus
  13. Hollow core exterior doors aren't really all that unusual around here. They are a pretty good sign that it's a rental property or section 8 housing. I've knocked on a few doors that a 6 year old could punch through and I wouldn't trust to hold a leaning man upright. Angus
  14. I don't think they had "outtakes". Screwups, flubs and bloopers, yeah. But I don't think they took any of them out. And I agree. That was one darn funny show. Angus
  15. If a Canada Goose lives in Canada doesn't that make it a Canadian Canada Goose?
  16. Not being a Canadian, or a hockey fan, I can only guess: Choosing sides for a game? Angus
  17. OK, Alpo, I'll help you out. Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea. Neptune is the Roman god of the sea. "Row man" = "Roman", got it? Hate it yet? You're welcome, Angus
  18. This is why I always read to the end of a thread before posting. I thought the same thing when I saw the picture. But I wanted to see if anyone else noticed and commented before I said anything.
  19. But I don't want to be a sandwich!
  20. "When you go to the hardware store and you get a box of six penny nails, what does the box say on the end of it?" "Known to cause cancer in california"?
  21. Wow! dihydrogen monoxide?!? That's dangerous stuff. Just breathing it will kill ya.
  22. Gotta ask: What's GWOT?
  23. Wow! That just got a whole lot scarier! Angus
  24. We had a vet that always brought her dog along. When she came out to geld a couple horses for us her overfed yellow lab got a couple of the no longer needed parts tossed to her when they were removed. She caught them and swallowed them in a heartbeat. It obviously wasn't the first time the dog was fed such treats. The pup didn't get the other two as they were pretty large and the vet was afraid the dog would choke on them. It was... "interesting". I wasn't expecting to see that. Angus
  25. Oh, for the love of God! What in the bottommost pit of the 9th hell is that thing?
