The place in Texas SUPPOSEDLY was producing the Ginex primers - the ones manufactured in Bosnia. The owner of ShootersWorld Powders has a relationship with “every primer manufacturer (I inferred the TX plant was almost a scam)”. SW imports the Ginex primers.

@Hells Comin you nailed the weather forecast!
I didn’t get to shoot the match but heard sooo many great comments about how good it was all around. Really wish I could have shot it - but I was glad to have been able to be there and vend. Next year!

@Flanigan Flats I am the SASS dealer for APP… however I can only ship by the case which is 12 pounds.
As @Abilene, SASS # 27489 said, Shooters World Multi Purpose Black IS APP 3F and is carried by many online retailers - Natchez, Grafs, Powder Valley, Midway, Midsouth Shooter Supply, and Scheels who will ship by the pound.

Yes! Lash - I have had some issues… some get stuck in the primer tubes when I’m dropping them in… some don’t seat well - feel funny - but I’m not organized enough to keep a record… of course Federal said it was the brass. I’m surprised you got a response. I and others have also had failures to fire…. Now, Federal has sold out to a Czech Group for $1.9 Billion. I don’t really trust them anymore…

DO IT DO IT DO IT!! It’s the most fun and it takes me about 1/2 the time to clean all 4 guns as shooting smokeless. I shoot APP. You can use hi-tek coated bullets or traditional lubed with APP.

I do not believe that for a second. Vista Outdoors just sold their ammo business side including Speer, Remington, Federal etc business to CZ Group for $1.9 BILLION! I talk to new shooters all the time.

I did hand out some of my cards… and pretty sure I mentioned Greenville is hooting tomorrow and Belton the second Saturday! @Palmetto Traveller I did not take my bullhorn. I left it at home to summon Tommy. Not sure he can hear the “I need you bell” frequency.

Tell everyone you encounter who you are and what you do. Go out to eat after matches in your cowboy clothes… that draws attention.
If we want to save the shooting sports thereby protecting our Second Amendment rights we have to look outside of just gun shows and people who are already gun people. I had only a shot handgun for the first time in October 2011 and saw my first match in August 2012 and was invited to shoot a stage (was HOOKED) and shot my first cowboy match December 2012!
EVERYONE is a potential SASS shooter… we limit ourselves if we don’t see it that way.

PS cards with match info are great to hand out. Make it easy for them to find the info and show up.
