Wish you all the best. -
I have two pieces of what I believe is Red Oak that are impossible to find now a days. They are 23” wide 34.5” long 1” thick and perfectly flat. Came off an antique coffee table. No idea what I’ll do with them.

Every one talks about the 10 second penalty. How many seconds of that 10 second penalty are offset because the shooter did not comply with step 4 by not having to stop, load, shoot, and make safe their shotgun before continuing to step 5? 3 seconds, 5 seconds? I get what the rule book says, but in this case the rule book does not adequately cover this scenario.

See the below hypothetical scenario.

If the shooter does not engage the target as required by step 4 of the stage instruction they earn a miss. If they do it willfully they earn a SOG and a miss. Allowing the shooter to skip step 4 gives the shooter a time advantage over every other shooter. Being as they can only earn one P. The only 2 options are award a miss for failing to engage or require a reshoot. Allowing the shooter to skip step 4 of the stage instruction is unfair to all the shooters that followed the stage instructions. As has been pointed out many times in the past, the rule book doesn't cover every possible situation. Past attempts to make it do so is why it no longer fits in your shirt pocket.

Added a can of Rotel and 1/2 medium onion to the recipe. Changed how to cook the beef. This version is way more flavorful.

Close, a group of baboons is a Congress. Pretty Good description if you as me. A group of owls is a parliament. Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

Black Powder Revolver Ownership Tips!
Sedalia Dave replied to Jedediah Westwood's topic in SASS Wire
Pyrodex is harder to ignite than real BP. 2F Goex has an ignition temp of about 500 F Ignition temp of APP is about 670 F Ignition temp of Pyrodex is about 740 F Depending on the granulation, Goex lists a total of 8 classes of Black Powder, ignition temp ranges from 392 F to 867 F. -
Sounds good on the surface however.... Once the firing pin hits the rim of the case the first time, any cushioning effect the brass had is greatly diminished. Do this multiple times and eventually the brass will be pounded to the point that it has zero cushioning effect and becomes the same as not having a cartridge there at all. Same thing occurs if you use a plastic screw insert in place of the spent cartridge. After several hits the plastic fails. Not any different than using a spent primer in a dummy round. After a few firings the primer is pounded to the point where it has zero cushioning effect.

Lets say two shooters have very similar raw times. (less than 1 second difference.) Lets also say both shooters shot the stage clean but earned a P. Like the OP stated, Shooter 1 knocked down both SG targets with the first SG engagement. Continued to the rifle and because the shooter already had a P skipped the second SG engagement and went straight to their 2nd pistol. Shooter 2 earned their P shooting the first pistol out of order. They completed the rest of the stage per the instructions. As you can see because shooter 1 skipped the second SG engagement they gained an advantage over shooter 2. Had shooter 1 fired one round out of their SG for the second engagement their raw time would have been several seconds more than shooter 2's. Now how to correct this conundrum. Only 1 P per stage so that doesn't rectify the issue. A SOG is not warranted unless it can be determined that shooter 1 willfully skipped the 2 SG engagement. If it is determined that shooter 1 did not willfully skip the 2nd SG engagement, we have a paradox where shooter 1 has gained a competitive advantage over shooter 2. In my mind, shooter 1 earned a miss for failing to engage a SG target as required by step 4 of the scenario. My rationale is while the stage instructions said 2+ shotgun, the intent of the stage was that there would be 2 separate distinct SG target engagements. (Steps 2 and 4 of the stage instructions.) The second engagement of a SG target (Even 1 that was already down) didn't happen. This earned shooter 1 a miss.

FYI most .375 diameter jacked bullets are not designed for 35-55 velocities. They are designed for .375 H&H Magnum velocities and will fail to properly expand at 38-55 velocities.
