  1. Or you could do like I do. Ask your crime related questions here. Then Marshal Mo Hare will think that you too are a murderer.
  2. The name is familiar enough that I'm positive I've seen it. But that was long enough ago that I don't remember it.
  3. I have not watched television for close to 20 years. I do watch occasional TV shows. Have them on DVD. But I just bought an antenna and hooked it up to the tube so that I could actually watch television again. Damn. There are many things wrong with this. First, I'm old and my hearing is not the greatest. Most DVDs come with closed captioning. That can spoil you quickly. Second is the commercials. Good Lord above I had forgot about the commercials. I mean, I knew they were there but - 10 minutes of show and then 10 minutes of commercial? But the third annoying thing, and this is probably the most annoying. When I watch a show on DVD, and I have to go to the toilet, or I want to go get something from the refrigerator, or they say something that I didn't understand so I want to look it up - I push the pause button. After 20 years of pushing the pause button when I want to walk away from the set, and when I come back it's exactly where I left it - you can't do that on television. It doesn't pause. To quote that round-headed kid - ARRRRGGGH.
  4. The first thing I thought of when I saw that title was the ritual cannibalism practiced in the Christian church. "This is my body. Eat. This is my blood. Drink."
  5. That was pretty good, but go down a couple to that song about Roswell. That's good.
  6. Adding that last word greatly improves the joke.
  7. Such language! And from a cleric.
  8. Something similar happened in - I think it was 95. Hurricane Olga, anyway. My daughter decided to stay at my house during the hurricane, because she lived in a trailer. She was parked on the street in front of my house. The top of the tree across the street broke off and fell down on the street. The tree was forked. And the forks straddled her car.
  9. I have been told, by scientific people that should know, that snow takes up 10 times the amount of space as water. If you get 10 inches of snow, if it had been raining you would have only gotten one inch of rain. So if I were to take my standard 10-cup coffee pot and fill it up with snow and put it on the fire, by the time the snow melted I would only have one cup of water. Now if I happen to have a couple of gallon pots, I can see filling them up with snow and putting them on the fire, and eventually I would probably get five or six cups of water, and could make coffee. Having no experience of my own with that cold wet white stuff, I'm having to rely on the scientific information. I would go to the creek. After thinking a moment, I remembered that a half a gallon is 8 cups. So a gallon would be 16 and 2 gallons would be 32. And melting down the 32 cups of snow you would end up with three and a quarter cups of water. Still not enough to make a pot of coffee.
  10. That pizza crust looks awful pale. And I don't see any sauce.
  11. I used to work with a guy that built a submarine. Painted it yellow of course. Took it down to Key West. Brought it back up here rather quickly. He told me that people wanted to buy it, and when he told them it was not for sale they got angry. He suspected that it was drug runners, wanted a little submarine that they could meet a boat offshore and smuggle the stuff in without the Coasties seeing them. Did not want to take no for an answer.
  12. Back in the long ago time, some sailors wore their insignia on the right arm while others wore it on the left. It depended on what their job was. Is it still like that? I know it was like this back during World War II. I was curious when I noticed that some of McHale's men wore it on the right, so researched it. Daddy wore his on the left. Of course, Daddy was an Airedale. Probably not a whole lot of Airedales on a PT boat.
  13. Pretty sure I saw it on TV, 25 or 30 years ago.
  14. Never heard of Bundy rum. Seems like it would ruin y'all's reputation. "Under proof"? You hear about Aussies being He-Man two-fisted drinkers, and then one of their favorite boozes is only 74 proof. Not 86. Not even 80. 74. Wow.
  15. That's interesting. I'm pretty sure that Roy Rogers first movie, he's an outlaw. And then in his last movie he's suspected of being a murderer. I guess that's what they mean by what goes around comes around.
