  1. Women in revealing clothing on motorcycles? Julie Andrews, 1969
  2. Still have some around here. With no camera surveillance.
  3. Because there might be something 6 foot high out of the frame.
  4. " #NationalHatDay #HatDay During a burial truce following the Confederate victory at the Battle of Cedar Mountain, J.E.B. Stuart suggested to his old friend, Union General Samuel Crawford, that the Northern press would somehow find a way to paint the Union defeat as a victory. Crawford replied that not even the “reckless New York Herald” could find a way to make the battle seem a victory. Thus, Stuart offered a bet: Crawford would owe him a new hat if the Northern press proclaimed the Battle of Cedar Mountain a Union triumph. A few days later Stuart received a package in camp from Crawford. It contained a copy of the New York Herald and a new plumed hat. Photo: One of J.E.B. Stuart’s plumed hats worn during the Civil War, Courtesy American Civil War Museum"
  5. Nope. And still don't have my Internal Passport (Real ID). I suppose I should get around to getting that one or soon I won't be allowed to go into state or federal buildings. If I don't have the Internal Passport, and get called for Jury Duty, will I be dinged if I don't report because I can't get into the building?
  6. But if dropped in a street side mailbox, or directly at the postal facility there would be no way of tracing the letter..... which I would have burned per instructions.
  7. I tried something a little different for dinner: Mayo Baked Cod Fillet Frozen Cod or Alaskan Pollock Fillets About ½ cup Mayonnaise, preferably homemade Zest and Juice of 1 Lemon, Juice Divided Salt and Black Pepper to Taste A few dashes of Tabasco Heat oven to 425F. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment. Mix Mayonnaise, Lemon Zest, Juice of Half the Lemon, Salt, Pepper, and Tabasco. Slather both sides and the edges of the Cod or Pollock Fillets thickly with the Mayonnaise and grind a little more Pepper over it – if only doing a few pieces you will have more than you need. Place on baking sheet, bake from frozen for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven, and squeeze some of the remaining Lemon over the Fish. Serve at once. =================================================== I made this with a Mayonnaise Roasted Cauliflower – Trim the stem and leaves from a small Cauliflower so it will sit flat. Steam for about 10 minutes and allow to cool. Slather with the same Mayonnaise mix as used on the Fish. Place on baking sheet, grind some Pepper over it. Same baking time as the fish. Drizzle a little Lemon Juice over it along with the Fish. Slice and serve. As usual, play with the seasonings to your taste.
  8. I figured that you would just stretch the frame!
  9. Thank you! I'm sure that I've run across that channel before, but it doesn't hurt to have another link. The Periscope channel and the Imperial War Museum also have some good films.
  10. A FB find: " In 1940, William Knudsen telephoned K.T. Keller, the chief executive of Chrysler, and asked him if Chrysler could build tanks. “I don’t know,” came the answer. “I’ve never seen one of these things.” Soon after, Chrysler broke ground on what would come to be known as the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant, situated in what is now the suburb of Warren. Its goal: to build swarms of tanks according to auto-making mass production principles—something never accomplished before. Even before the factory had been completed, the first Chrysler M3 tank rolled off the assembly line. The walls of the factory were not even up, so engineers brought a steam locomotive in to keep the place warm for the workers during Michigan’s bitter winter of 1940-41. As the factory swelled to 1.25 million square feet, the company switched to M4 Sherman tanks, which were powered by a Frankenstein of a motor. Engineers took five six-cylinder engines that had been used in the Chrysler Royal and Windsor cars before the war and welded them together into one 30-cylinder motor that could pump 425-horsepower to the tank treads. In the end, the Detroit Arsenal built more tanks than all of the Third Reich during the war years, tanks that roared through enemy lines all the way to Hitler’s Berlin. WORKERS AT A CHRYSLER PLANT ASSEMBLE TANKS. THE COMPANY'S FIRST TANK ROLLED OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE EVEN BEFORE THE FACTORY WALLS WERE COMPLETELY BUILT."
  11. Is a Franciscan Pilot an (wait for it) (wait for it) (almost there) Air Friar? Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week. Try the veal. Be sure to tip your waitress.
  12. I bought two of those. They were full of typos, missing instructions, missing ingredients, and just plain boring receipts. Not worth the buck I paid for them.
  13. Found on FB Heinkel He-177 Greif (long-range heavy bomber) tail gunner climbing into position. The A-5’s Heckstand (tail position) was equipped with a 20mm MG 151/20 cannon. He is wearing the electrically heated two-piece “Channel” flying suit; 10-30 B-2 Schwimmwester (life preserver); Ruckenfallschirm (back parachute) and a LKp S101 flying helmet.
  14. A rather interesting concept. https://www.vintagewings.ca/stories/hurricane-biplane https://planehistoria.com/hillson-fh-40-hurricane/?fbclid=IwAR30n8kOvPu05Lyen7sBMn7x0wI9jcgX8Sq4nlpbPGovbbpdB3xpPzpwCWc
  15. I got the regular controls when I clicked on it, could move the slider backwards and forwards The latch was out of the frame, so there is no way to really know, but just after the action opens the camera pans left just a bit and it looks like his thumb is moving away from the lever. ADDED: I'm surprised you didn't comment on the video that played after it, the Rumba routine from Arsen & Oksana
  16. That was the license plate. It is odd looking, but some of the conventional stuff out of America the last decade has been pretty ugly too.

  18. From the obit posted and from This One I suspect that the connection is Seems that God called another master craftsman home. Talent like that, even if not directly connected to SASS, should be noted and mourned. A bit more about him: http://www.housebrothersproject.com/articles/article4.html
  19. Oh, you're in trouble! You dared to post a FACEBOOK link! Not only that, it's to how to make one of them thar untraceable, undetectectable, unregistered GHOST GUNS! That's some fine work! Thanks.
  20. Only an inch thick? Must be an older vehicle! The other 90% is warnings and disclaimers. Some might show a sketch of where the jack and associated implements are stowed, but then there is the challenge of figuring out how to get the seat to fold down or lift up to gain access to the access panel to get the stowed tools. After the first use I usually just let them stay on the floor in the back.
