The Verdigris Kid
My neighbor unfortunately passed away Monday. His family is here cleaning out his house to sell. They have a big dumpster in the driveway. I went over to inquire about the gentleman as his vehicle had not been around for a couple months and was told that he had cancer and passed. As I started to walk home I noticed a tote in front of the dumpster with a FREE tag on it. I looked and it is a complete set of the Time Life Books - The Old West Series. So I rescued it. It seems to be complete except for the Master Index. One book the binding has failed but I think I can fix that. The rest seem to be in great shape with some minor rubbing of the titles on the spine of some which looks to be from handling.
Wild Eagle
Well, you got some great reading, saved some good books, and have the opportunity to pass them on again. Unfortunately, we will all be part of that sad circumstance one day. You made the guy happy that his pride and joy did not get taken to the dump.
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
I have a full set (including the Master Index) that I bought with the subscription process many years ago. The Master Index is the hardest to find and worth more than any of the rest of the series. The pictures in the books are awesome.
Michigan Slim
My dad had several of the Time series. My nephew got them when he passed.
