Cool Hand Joe Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 I’m visiting Las Vegas this week, was wondering if anyone had insight on good Cowboy gun or apparel / equipment stores here!
Creeker, SASS #43022 Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Sadly - Las Vegas is a desert in more ways than one. D Bar J is one of the only purveyors of gear for "Old West" cowboy in our area. Other than that - we have the usual Boot Barns with their focus on Rodeo. Our gunshops are focused on black, plastic and tactical - my shop is in Pahrump, about 60 miles away from Las Vegas and is a reasonably eclectic mix of blued steel and wood stocks; but not necessarily a lot of cowboy. Las Vegas and surrounding is a great place - full of wonders and sights; not all gambling related - but it is not "Cowboy" favorable.
Jackson Haller Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 No real cowboy gun shops here. Sometimes you get lucky with places that sell used firearms. As for hats, yes D Bar J, but he's really expensive, not very friendly and very limited selection to look at; I'd pass. Boot Barn on Warm Springs has a hat section, modern, but they have a hat guy there to do creases. They also sell western boots (lots) and clothing.
