Warden Callaway Posted March 23 Share Posted March 23 The forends on these old doubles are seldom close to being enterchanable. I have doubles that are same make and model that won't come close to each other. I have two original Colt 1878s, 10 and 12 guage. I had at one time a Cimarron 1878. But it went to a new shooter. I don't remember if the forend was nearly like the original or not. When I was buying old doubles, if it didn't have the forend and both hammers, I moved on. It's a real mistory how the forends get lost. Original Colt lock over the TTN. TTN between 10 and 12 guage Colt. Original 12 gauge Colt over TTN.
