Forty Rod SASS 3935
I was watching an old Hercule Poirot movie and the show opened with an airplane flying over the English coast. As I watched I knew the plane was deHaviland Dragon Rapide, a mid 1930s British passenger biplane carrying six or seven people plus a crew of two. Now here's the strange part: I have no idea why I knew that nor where I could have come across it. I know some American planes but have never had much interest in any other country's planes, except the slim possibility of running into an enemy aircraft somewhere sometime. Like MiGs and other stuff that was mostly from WWII and Korea times when I was still n grade school.. I got on the 'net to confirm what I thought I remembered, and was right on the mark. I can't explain it, but wondered if anyone else has had something pop into their mind without any reason....and not remember why they remembered it. watab kid
ive had that happen then on reflection recalled it was spelled out in the movie as to what it was , ive also had those where i suddenly remembered i was so intrigued that i had looked it up and thats why it stuck with me , some trivial things really do stick in your minds filing system , my wife and friends liked playing trivia game back when i was not too bad at it back then - she often asked how did i know and i could not tell he why - i just did , id filed it away at some point and it came back at an opportune moment
Trailrider #896
I can remember some radio shows I listened to as a kid. Can recall the voices as clearly as yesterday. OTOH, I can sometimes have a senior moment recalling the names of actors I've seen more recently, though I can picture them in my mind!
