Subdeacon Joe

Recommended Posts

Three marines taking a break from World War II to make chocolate-covered doughnuts. First, the doughnuts are cut with a "C" ration can (left), then they are fried in a fruit-juice can (center), then the chocolate icing is applied (right.). The chocolate icing was made from chocolate candy bars and cocoa. Okinawa, Japan in c1945.

I wonder what he made the hole cutter out of? I can see it there on the edge of his cutting board.

I'm guessing cut the top and bottom out of a c-rat can, then split it down the side and roll it up.

But that's just a guess.
