Alpo Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 She referenced a vibrato, and said how in Irish music it's done with the fingers instead of with the breath. We called that a trill, and it was certainly done with the fingers. Clarinet, flute, piccolo, saxophone. Any reed, and it was all finger. I wonder what instrument she's talking about where you do it with the breath? I suppose I would have liked that more better if I knew the songs she was starting with. If she took Yankee Doodle and made it sound Irish, I can sit there and say oh okay I got that, because I know what Yankee Doodle sounds like. But I had never heard any of the songs that she changed to be Irish, so I don't know if they changed or not.
