Three Foot Johnson Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 See what I did there? A year and a half ago, my cat had three kittens, her first litter. Yesterday, about 11:30 am, she had another litter... a litter of ONE. I didn't get to bed til about midnight, and all was fine. This morning, all was fine, but around noon, she jumped up in my lap and wouldn't quit rubbing her face on me - I mean, I couldn't push her away for more than a couple seconds. She finally laid down on my leg, and blooped out some clear jelly crap, so I picked her up and put her on a towel where she let out a yowl and promptly birthed a second kitten - about 25 hours, 10 minutes after the first. A little research on the Web says an interrupted labor of such length isn't totally unheard of, but rather rare. It's been five hours now, and she's calm and not in distress, so who knows - maybe she's done and maybe she's not. Fraternal twins, one white and one "of color", born on different days.
Pat Riot Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Name them “Day Late” and “Dollar Short”. I have never heard of cats doing that.
