Griff
I have 2 Colt 2nd Gen .36 1851s, 1 Colt Signature Series .36 1851, and 1 ASM square back .36 1851, plus 2 additional 1851 cylinders.. all of which are parts made by Uberti for the Colt 2nd Gen guns, except the two spare cylinders I picked up @ Dixie Gun Works. I've used NOTHING but .375 balls and always cut a fine ring of lead with both Speer & Hornady swaged balls. Well... except when I'm worried about a KD and use 90 grain conical with a stepped base and up the powder charge.
Colorado Coffinmaker
Last 4 - 5 seasons, I've been shooting the EPP UG - 36 Big Lube bullets. As cast, come out of the mold at a nominal 90Gr weight. Super accurate and carry a Boat Load of lube. Also, the 90Gr cast bullet gives a real clear KLANG on steel. Since the EPP UG - 36 also drops at around .380, they not only load really well for the .36, they make a dandy bullet for 38-55.
