Got a question for y'all.  A friend brought me an 1897 with a peculiar problem.  When you rack the slide, the magazine follower will protrude about 1/2".  The gun is locked up at that point until you manually depress the follower back into position.  When you do that, it stays there like it should.........until you rack the action again.

 

Thoughts?

Someone swapped a Chicom follower for a Winchester follower.  I may have that backwards.  If you put the wrong one in, you get what you see at least on my 97s.  I have two of each.

I’ll bet if you changed your heading to 1897 shotgun problem you’d get more responses, instead of DavidM.
