Trigger Mike Posted February 23, 2017 Share Posted February 23, 2017 The Presidents new pick to replace General Flinn turns out was stationed at the same Warner Barracks in Bamberg Germany the same time I was and deployed to Iraq as well when I did. The history channel did a documentary on the Battle of 73 Easting and McMasters made comments on the battle on that show when he was a captain of E Troop 2/2 cav. Since then, he has become quite famous in army circles, written a book on the Vietnam war, earned a Ph.D, and commanded other famous units in battle. He is, quite simply, my generation's Patton.
