Buckshot Dobbs
for Christmas my dear wife bought me a Pietta 1851 in 44 cal and the Taylors conversion cylinder. Well i took it apart and cleaned it really well and took it to the range today and had a great time. Well as I shot it I noticed the screw holding the rammer on would back out. When I try to tighten it, it just free spins. It does not look stripped. I'm not sure why I did not notice this when cleaning? Do you think i can just put it in and blue lock tite it and itbe ok? Do i need to contact emf where my wife bought it? Can I get a better fitting screw somehow? BD
Cat Brules
You have stripped threads. I would try to return it for an exchange, if you are sure you didn't cause the damage.

Colorado Coffinmaker
Stripped Threads, Send It Back. When you get your new one, first thing out of the box is fit the bolt to the cylinder slots.
