Captain Clark
March 9th 1916, Francisco "Pancho Villa" crossed the border from Mexico onto US soil and attacked Columbus New Mexico, killing 18 US citizens [10 solders 8 civilians} and losing an estimated 100+ of his own guerillas in the raid! The raid marked the beginning of the end for Villa. The US government answered with General Pershing taking 10,000 troops into Mexico after Villa. Cat Brules
There was that time when the Federal government took great exception to illegals making forays into the United States. Now, the Mexican Army frequently sends mechanized patrols across the "Rio Bravo" (or Rio Grande, as we know it).
