McCandless Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Haven't given it a lot of thought, but I think it's a great idea. http://www.wral.com/50-veterans-take-advantage-of-buncombe-county-amnesty-day/15108938/ Quote
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 What does being a vet have to do with it? The amnesty proposal assumes the every vet who gets into trouble did so as a result of their service. Many who get into trouble just happen to be vets, nothing more. Quote

One would have to look at the totality of the infractions I think and judge each case individually. But that's what the judicial system is supposed to do anyway,. Just being a vet should not qualify you for a get out of jail free card. Quote
McCandless Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 They did this for Veteran's Day. Small towns, mountain communities trying to give something back. (Even if they do have a liberal college town at the center.) Quote
