Smoken D Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Oh well, there may be some interrested in Cody Conagher's response on my loading gate problem for the 73 Cody Matic. Apparently due to a few the thread had to be pulled, his response; Take the magazine spring and follower out and clean them and make shore there is no rust in it then replace the spring with a new stainless spring. Smoken D Posted May 5, 2015 Author Share Posted May 5, 2015 Spring and follower arrived today. After putting them in, loaded up 10, and still a jam at the loading gate. By the time I loaded 10 for the 5th time the gate closed. It kept closing from then on up till the 12th time of loading where I stopped. It appears installing the new stainless spring & follower has done the trick. I could not get the photo to come over but the S.S. Spring was around 5" longer than the apparent factory one Cody has in his guns. Now can't wait for the next shoot in a few weeks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
