Come On Christmas Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 does any one make one? PM a source to foller wire rules. Wanna bump up bullet for a remington conversion cylinder. Or should I jest set up a jig and depth on a drill press? Crayfish
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 No need to hide a good vendor's name, not by any forum rules I've seen. Bernie Rowles in Fruita, Colorado may be your man. http://www.oldwestbulletmoulds.com/ He has taken down his on-line bullet design "catalog", but he does some fine work with old mold designs. I have one of his standard base molds for .45 Colt that is very nice. Anyway, he's well known for making .38 Colt hollow base molds. Get in touch with him and see what he can offer you. BUT - why not read this thread over before you go too far with hollow-based bullets. The preferred method for making slugs for .38 Colt in the conversions is a heeled bullet. http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/index.php/t-553962.html You are in luck, Bernie also makes those molds. Good luck, GJ

Come On Christmas Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Hey Joe, I recently posted about a pepper box pistol and where to buy it. It got blocked. I'll cry all night. I oft times play dumb to find out what I want. My research had yielded dscussion, but no real definitive answers. Thanks for your input.
Cusz M. Dutch SASS Life 55326 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Speer and maybe others make a 148 grain hollow base wadcutter. http://www.speer-bullets.com/ballistics/detail.aspx?id=220

Garrison Joe, SASS #60708 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 148 grain hollow base wadcutters? You really think those will fit the .38 Colt case well? Well, it is your gun. Might be worth a try. GJ
