Neches Slim
I just swapped over to shooting Gun fighter style. The hammers on these NM Vaquero's are hard to reach for my short fingers. I was told that the super blackhawk hammers would be the best easiest to swap over to because they will fit without any work to be done on them. Do any of you know this to be true? Cofachique Dick
True. Done it myself to mine. I did "fit" them a little bit to keep the hammers from pinching the transfer bars.
Tyrel Cody
Yes. I have short thumbs as well and the super blackhawk hammers solve thst problem for me. Put some on my sons Vaqueros as well. I have had good luck getting them by calling Ruger directly.
Grizzly Dave
Yup, put a pair on my pistols myself, and I"m not very handy. Ruger has videos on disassembly and reassembly both on their website and on youtube that come in handy.
Neches Slim
I sure do appreciate all the replies. I'm guessing this is NEW super black hawk hammers that everyone used?
Tyrel Cody
Not sure there is a difference. Last time I called Ruger, which was back in Decemeber, I just asked for 2 Super Blackhawk Hammers.
Badlands Bob #61228
I put mine in with no problem. I found them at Midway USA. They work great and cut down on me rotating past a live round. I shoot Gunfighter too.
