Wif
I recently picked up a holster marked "Alfonso's holster and gun shop"" The model is M 44 SW 6. My 50th Anniversery Black Hawk fits in it very well. Should I put in my loaner box or in a frame on the wall of the man cave? Wif
Springfield Slim SASS #24733
If you aren't going to shoot it anymore you should send the Blackhawk w/ holster to me, I need to use it for holster molding! Actually, I need a Walker for the same reason. FYI Sparky couldn't fix that .22 auto he got from you, so I have it now and it seems to be working well after a few mods I had to do to it. Wif
Slim The Blackhawk is NOT in you future. I'm glad you were able to get the 22 up and running. It is a cool rifle as you can lock the bolt closed and use it like a bolt action. Wif

Wif Alfonso's of Hollywood was a leather artist's shop in (guess where?) the LA area. I guess their biggest claim to fame is that they made the black leather rig for Paladin in the TV show, Have Gun Will Travel. They did a lot of custom work for the film industry and maybe still do; not sure. I don't know anyone there. The original owner passed on some time back and I think his son operate the business now. http://www.alfonsosgunleather.com

He's a delight to work with, I've talked to him for each holster I wanted made and he followed through with the most delightful holsters I've owned. Two fo the holster rigs he's made for me are patterned on the HGWT Paladin rig, less the silver knight. Once I get back state-sides I will have him do another rig for me, but more elaborately embellished. My two rigs are these: My current shooting rig: https://picasaweb.google.com/115786146222945467962/CASMiscGunStuff#5477203091466696002 and my previous rig: https://picasaweb.google.com/115786146222945467962/CASMiscGunStuff#5458950977626144338 Living in England is helping me lose weight - enough that I'll need new gun belts when I return, but can re-use the holsters. His work is not cheap - but it is fantastic! BTW - I believe Ojala made the original Paladin rig, Alfonso's acknowledges that his is a remake of it.
