Trigger Mike Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I read the manual for the Browning 1911-22 and it says to carry it loaded with the hammer forward resting on the firing pin. Seemed odd it did not say carry it with the hammer back and on safe. Seems since it is rimfire it would be better to keep the hammer off the firing pin. Any thoughts? btw, she sure shoots sweet.
Rooster Ron Wayne Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 wow that dont seem right . I think the proof reader was sleeping or somthing .
Grizzly Dave Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 HERE is a link to the manual, I didn't read it all, but did find one place that said with the hammer in the fully down position that the hammer is on the firing pin, but the firing pin is not on the case rim.
