John William McCandles #963
I am thinking about purchasing one so i have a question for the re loaders here on the wire. Which case prep center are you using if any? The RCBS "Trim Mate" or the Lyman "Case prep center xpress"? What made you go with the one you did and would you make the same purchase? Thanks JW
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Don't use one. SASS main match type shooting doesn't need any of it's functions. What I do need for case prep (like cleaning cases, full sizing of .45 auto cases) none of those centers do. Good luck, GJ
Noz
I would think if you were shooting precision smokeless may be a good thing. For us, not.
The Original Lumpy Gritz
Been reloading for over 45 yrs and never had the need for an "all-in-one" set up like those. They are a space killer on your bench too. Respectfully, LG
Takoda Ray
I have the RCBS case prep center and it has done well for many years. It is used mostly for prepping my rifle cases for precision shooting. The only time it gets used for our sport of cowboy shooting is when I buy a large quantity of new brass and then I deburr the inside and outside of the cases so they don't scratch my reloading dies.Other then that,it collects dust on the bench. They are pricy so you can be well served with a hand deburring tool, time and a good western on the television set.
