Badlands Beady
Mine fell apart the fist time I wore it. Took it to a jeweler, he said there was nothing there to work with. I ordered one of the larger badges, and the hinge pin fell out. I replaced it with a staple, but now the clasp is so loose that it won't hold the pin; I wear the badge on my vest, and it's fallen off several times. Utah Bob #35998
it's plated mild steel. The larger ones are more robust. I've never had a problem with mine.
Curley Cole, SASS #56849
SASS 56849 I have worn this badge ever since I got it some 5-6 years ago, in the same position as you see it, and being it is right in front it takes a good beating, from rifle stocks, tables etc. (I also got the "fancy" badge the same time when I joined up but it was too big for the holder so it is in a frame on the wall) altho I have heard from some others that the newer badges were not so great, and SASS got some complaints and went to another company. I would be sure to tell the SASS folks. curley
