Jonathan Slim Chance
Well, it’s time to thin the herd a bit. I seem to have taken an unintended retirement from Cowboy shooting for a while, so hate to see this just sit in the safe. Winchester 1887 This is an original, dual extractor 1887. This is an honest working gun, it won’t ever win any beauty pageants but it’s dead reliable. At some point in it’s past, someone had to replace the right hand breech screw (shown in one picture) and they did it with a standard slotted screw (but again, the gun works fine this way) I never replaced the screw with a factory one because I thought it added character. There’s a chip out of the toe of the stock, again been that way for years. When I got it, the original barrel looked like ten miles of bad road, so I replaced it with a replacement barrel for a solid frame 1897 Riot gun (50’s vintage according to the source). The original barrel will be included in the sale. It’s been through Coyote Cap’s shop, so the action has been cleaned up a bit. Looking to get $650.00 or best offer plus shipping for it.
