Medicine Creek Johnny
Just sitting here wondering if an awa lightning rifle could be relined and converted to 38-40 caliber? I shoot blak powder and the bottlenecks work much better? Would this make them feed better with the smaller bullet entering a larger chamber. The one I have now is45colt. Deadeye Dallas, SASS #60249
A properly set up AWA will feed a 45 colt as fast as you can rack it. The bottle neck would seal better with less blow back. Dallas
Medicine Creek Johnny
Thanks Deadeye! I was thinking that it would seal better. Don,t really like 45colt for black in a rifle. Mine does feed quite well.
Buck D. Law, SASS #62183
You could always buy one in 44-40 and then you'd have a 44-40 and a 45.
Larry Earp SASS#60034
Is Russell on extended vacation - ill or going out of business? Emails and phone calls are not being answered I'm having the same problem with AWA. No reponse to emails and nothing but voice mail when I call almost every day. I've had an order for parts with them for over a month and my check hasn't been cashed and I haven't received my much needed parts. If you have an AWA gun where do you get parts for it or send it for warranty repairs if no one answers the phone or replies to emails?
Deadeye Dallas, SASS #60249
I have been trying to contact them since April for parts. Check sent still has not been cashed. Sure would like to know if anybody has any info. Dallas
