Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
http://boston.cbslocal.com/2011/06/01/boston-landmarks-now-wearing-bruins-jerseys-for-stanley-cup-finals/ BOSTON (CBS) It's not unusual to see people on the Public Garden taking pictures of Mrs. Mallard and her little ducklings, but the ducklings are more photogenic than usual this week because they're all wearing cute little Bruins jerseys. On the other side of the park, the statue of George Washington is also wearing a B's jersey, as is the Paul Revere statue on Hanover Street in the North End. Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Hoorah! Just yesterday I heard one of the radio comentators saying how calm and peaceful the Vancourans were, not rioting like Bostonians.
Buffalo Creek Law Dog
The PR stunt in Vancouver right after game 7 was the destroying of everything in sight. Fifteen vehicles destroyed most by burning, two of which were police cars. Several stores looted, one proprietor stated that they took everything from his store. These were not true hockey fans as this riot was staged and was going to take place wheather Vancouver won or lost game 7. When they are rioting wearing googles, masks, hoodies and carrying containers of gasoline, fire extinquishers, etc you know it was just an excuse to cause mayhem. Same thing happened in '94 when Vancouver lost the Stanley Cup finals. Just a bunch of drunken idiots using the game as an excuse to create havoc.
