how come its hard to find

How come when I go to sights that sell AR-15 gear, they sell a dozen varieties of AR-15 slings, with super duper attachments rings etc but none are the standard run of the mill GI silent sling or the Vietnam Era green sling? You can find fancy rail systems, multitalented sights and ammo holding pistol grips but no standard GI stuff. What do people plan on doing with their AR15 that I am missing?

 

I want a normal green sling or black one, actually I need both

Wow, what a price difference! $2.50 and over $44.95.

Part of the reason they are hard to find is that no GI's want them. When I deployed the first time everybody went out and bought new slings and gave the issue ones back to supply. On my last deployment the army went to a three point tactical sling so the old ones aren't even issued any more.
