Chili Ron
Howdy, I just got a 1866 uberti replica yellowboy in .22 and I have been told that parts are hard to come by. Have any pards any experience with this particular carbine and what parts have you needed, what breaks? Its shooting a bit high so I probably will need a tang sight or at least a higher front sight. I have a two inch thick book from Numrich arms and no diagram of the 66 that I can find. I think its pretty accurate, too bad no scopes allowed.... If you have info that can be attached to email, please email me and I will email you right back so you can attach any writeups on cleaning etc. Thanks aheadotime CR

Nimble Fingers SASS# 25439
I think it is VTI instead. Used to shoot with someone a long time ago that worked at the offices down here, but then they moved.
Chisler Wood
If you break it, it has a lifetime warranty and the company is extemely customer service oriented.....I wouldn't worry.....
Cypress Sam, SASS #10915
I have a Uberti Model 66 rifle in .22 LR. Mine is an old model and has a trigger safety, that the newer ones don't have. It also has a lifter that is about 1/4" shorter than the newer .22's and the full caliber guns. Most of the parts except for the bolt and lifter seem to interchange with the full caliber 66's. I put some short stroke links in my rifle and they fit but needed a lot of work on the timing to get the rifle to work right. It works great but because of the short carrier, the stroke is much shorter than legal. Of course .22's aren't legal anyway so it doesn't matter. It's a fun rifle to shoot in practice and saves both money and time. (No reloading.) It's awfully heavy though.
Chili Ron
Howdy, No kidding, at eight pounds thats one hefty little .22. I just LIKE the darn thing and I want to keep it runnin. Yes its too bad ruger doesnt make a 66. That would be too much fun. Hey, have you seen where ruger stock is? I told pards to buy at 5-6 bucks a share back a few years. Some folks just dont listen....
