Creeker, SASS #43022 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/cid=10003/a...s/Shotgun_Parts Those are your biggies. And they are made by a cowboy shooter that knows his stuff. For my 97, I carry ejectors in the guncart (I will change these in the middle of a match, if needed). I keep extractors handy for after match repairs. Anything beyond these - it is time to get out one of your backup 97's anyway. And then just order exactly what you need to fix your primary. You do have backups right? That is the old joke about 97's and shooting cowboy. You need a minimum of three of them... The one you are currently shooting The one for backup And the one at the gunsmith being fixed. And then with the advent of Wild Bunch - You have to re-evaluate your 97's to see which ones feed from the tube and which ones don't.
BrimstoneJerome Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Creeker Thanks for the info pard, is the manufacturer TL? Just wonderin, I went to his brother San Juan's shooting school when I was a Jr. shooter in 2000.

Just wonderin, I went to his brother San Juan's shooting school when I was a Jr. shooter in 2000. Yup, TL is the manufacturer on these. He builds nice stuff and his action work on 97's is as good as any that I have handled. I am very fortunate in that I get to shoot with TL and Dixie Bell on a pretty regular basis.
Pecos Sam Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Brownells seems to have discontinued the 1897 parts. Any recommendations re. other ejector sellers? Numrich lists them, but mentions that theirs are for the 1897 Solid Frames. Is there a difference between the ejectors for the Solid and the Takedown models? Thanks in advance, Pecos
Hamley Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Might try Jack First Gunshop. I have ordered parts from them for 97. Hamley
BrimstoneJerome Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 No difference in spring, I ordered from Numerich and my takedown is flinging them out like a champ.
