Mad Dog Jack, SASS #77862 Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I have a AWA version that I used to use when I shot smokeless and have not used it for 3 years because I don't know quite how to take it apart to clean it. It was and still is reliable for the mid level Trail Boss with 200gr bullets I load for my son, but I want to see some smoke coming out the barrel. Filthy Lucre shoots an original one in 38-40 that seals the chamber nicely and he says he kinda washes it out and hangs it up to dry--mines a 45 with the 45 issues, so I think I will have to disassemble it once in awhile to keep it going with BP. Anyone know a source like Marauder's page on 73s for the Lightning?
John Boy Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 http://www.usfirearms.com/pdf/USFA_lightning_manual.pdf There is a parts diagram also

Mad Dog Jack, SASS #77862 Posted December 11, 2010 Author Posted December 11, 2010 Thanks guys! It's been awhile since i actually looked around Marauder's site learning the ins and outs of my 73 and I sure don't remember seeing anything about Lightnings there when I did, and I had the Lightning then. Now maybe I can unretire the gun and make heap big smoke with it.

I really appreciate you making this available, I like this in Deadeye Dallas' part: Step 7 Reassembly. This is the hardest part. Well, I'll have to get to it soon and find out just how hard it is..... Thanks!
