Chili Ron Posted December 4, 2010 Share Posted December 4, 2010 Howdy, some channels like cspan have been broadcasting the speech the prez gave at bagram airfield. I just happened to see it and got the idea to look in the background for my nephew. The prez spent a good while shakin hands after the speech and a LOT of troops are very recognizable in the foreground and background. If you have anyone over thataway, you might take a few minutes and watch. I didnt get to see my nephew but you might get luckier. And the speech was ok. My nephew specifically asked fer real coffee as the stuff they git served tastes like warm turpentine. That was the first complain I heard outta him on his fifth trip over thataway. NO. I dont know whareabouts he is stationed. He just said its warmer than the last place. Whatever that means. Doc, I will try to stick to sass stuff after this. Rio Brazos Kid Posted December 5, 2010 Share Posted December 5, 2010 My Daughter has made deployments to Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan, and is currently back in Korea working in the Adjutant Generals office. I have always known just where she was, primarily because of the nature of her work. She is always at the central operations compound, and never (Thankfully), ever out roaming around the country.
